Position: Disbursement Specialist

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, some flexibility to schedule possible

Disbursement Specialist Duties:

• Use Avid Exchange to route invoices to responsible parties for approvals.
• Process payments in NetSuite and complete timely check runs and ACH payment cycles.
• Deposit checks and cash, and maintain, disburse, and reconcile petty cash.
• Facilitate the issuance of 1099’s, W2’s, and ACA Healthcare Forms annually.
• Reconcile accounts payable account with the general ledger monthly.
• Maintain good working relationships with internal and external vendors.
• Biweekly processing of payroll using the Dayforce system
• General payroll functions of issuing manual checks, employment verification, garnishments, and payroll deductions

Payroll Specialist Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll processing. Dayforce experience is a plus.
• Ability to carry out written and oral instructions and make independent decisions.
• Skilled in planning, organizing, implementing, and interpreting accounting principles and practices.
• Capable of verifying financial documents and maintaining systematic, neat, and legible records.
