The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Receptionist Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Salary: $16.00 – $19.30 DOE

Receptionist Summary: The Receptionist is a vital first point of contact for clients at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health. This role involves greeting clients, addressing their needs, and maintaining a welcoming front office environment. The Receptionist will handle incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and ensure efficient front office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all clients and guests in a professional and inclusive manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Direct clients to the appropriate waiting area and promptly notify therapists of client arrivals.
  • Copy and manage medical insurance cards for accurate record-keeping.
  • Facilitate the in-person payment process for clients efficiently.
  • Answer all telephone calls in a timely, professional manner, transferring calls as needed.
  • Navigate client profiles and schedules using the Credible Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front office area, including plant care and coffee station upkeep.
  • Ensure daily scanning of all legal and departmental documents is completed.
  • Manage will calls, faxes, medical record sign-outs, and mail follow-ups.
  • Oversee printer maintenance and stamp machine upkeep to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Prepare all case closure letters for mailing on a daily basis.
  • Print and organize intake packets for mailing or distribution to clients.
  • Implement crisis protocols for clients needing urgent assistance.
  • Escalate any issues with unruly clients to the Support Services Supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Support Services Supervisor, Manager, or Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • Required:
    • Two years of office experience.
  • Preferred:
    • One year of experience in a clinical or behavioral health office.
    • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
    • Bilingual (Spanish).
