TEMP TO PERM ROLE

Completely remote, EST time zone preferred but manager is open to other time zones.

– Schedule is M-F 8-5pm EST for training (~60 days) but then a regular schedule within the candidate’s time zone will be established with the manager

Summary:

The main function of an accounting clerk is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. A typical accounting clerk is responsible for a wide range of technology and can work in areas closely related to computers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.

• Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures.

• Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.

• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred.

• 0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

-This position is for the National Accounts team , they would be reconciling accounts and then working with the customer using portals and AP processes to make sure we are collecting payments.

Heavy reconciliation skills and collection skills required.

Excel skills including piviot tables and vlookups required. Quick to pick up processes. Detail oriented.

– Will be working with external customers but will also be working with internal customers.

MUST HAVES:

– Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheet/Excel)

– Experience with high volume

– Data driven, quick learner, able to manage time effectively

– Experience with reconciliation (MANDATORY)

– Excel experience (pivot table, vlookups)

– Experience collecting money from frustrated customers and being able to handle people with different attitudes & personalities

– Experience taking calls and being on phones

– Experience working independently but also with a team

– Familiarity with remote work

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

– AS400 experience a huge plus

PERSONALITY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE MANAGER- PLEASE MAKE AN EMPHASIS ON SOFT SKILLS
