Job Details:
Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to drive financial operations and improve financial processes within our fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including but not limited to reconciliation, financial statement preparation, balance sheet management, prepaid expenses, project accounting, payroll, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), month-end closing, and general ledger accounting. Experience in franchise and construction accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including AP, AR, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
2. Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage prepaid expenses.
4. Oversee project and job cost accounting, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely reporting.
5. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
8. Liaise with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
9. Coordinate with franchise and construction departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
10. Lead and mentor accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. High proficiency in MS Office and accounting software and databases.
5. Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Exceptional analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
