Lead Interior Designer/Project Manager has responsibility for execution of the project interior design, including development of all project deliverables. Plans and develops one medium to large project or multiple small projects and works under minimal supervision of a Senior Designer or PIC. The Lead Interior Designer/Project Manager is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. This responsibility may be shared/divided with a Senior Interior Designer depending on how the project team is structured. A Lead Interior Designer/Project Manager exhibits leadership both within OZ and outside of OZ and manages projects and teams to achieve project goals and serves as the primary consultant coordinator (or may share the responsibility on larger teams) to monitor project progress and ensure the Interior Design is fully coordinated with all consultants and architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or equivalent
  • 8+ years of interior design experience
  • NCIDQ certification preferred
  • Proficient in Revit Modeling and use of templates
  • Knowledgeable of graphic programs (such as Adobe Acrobat, Sketch-up, InDesign, and Photoshop) and has proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
  • The Lead Interior Designer/Project Manager has good project management skills, basic understanding of workplans and staff productivity, can do QC reviews, and understands codes and accessibility related to interiors
