I’m partnered with the CFO at a multi-million dollar leading distribution company. Our client is experiencing immense company growth and operational expansion through key strategic initiatives. Due to this growth, they are now looking to find a Senior Accountant to join their team near Cicero, IL to take ownership over the month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other daily accounting functions.

Due to this growth, they are now looking to find a Senior Accountant to join their team near Cicero, IL to take ownership over the month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other daily accounting functions.

Description

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures and perform necessary accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
• Monitor cash flow, including cash inflows and outflows, and manage working capital. Make recommendations for cash flow optimization and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure proper classification and coding of financial transactions. Review and reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial record

Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting
• CPG or distribution industry experience a plus
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Key attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
